Please read this book, 'Count It All Joy'!! I can tell you as someone who has been a caregiver to a person with Alzheimer's, that what Pastor Paul is living and writing about is real, it's true, it's hard, it's rewarding, it's love, but above all its God. For those that have never experienced being a caregiver "Count It All Joy" delivers a very insightful view into the struggle, but it also shows that real love for one another, the love of God and faith in our risen Savior will strengthen us day by day for the task. Praise Him always and you too can say, I COUNT IT ALL JOY!!! Thank you, Pastor Paul, for letting us experience your love and faithfulness to God and being the man He designed you to be. Keep pressing.”                 - Janice Walton

"The vow, 'In Sickness and in Health' never holds more weight than when your spouse is diagnosed with a debilitating or terminal disease. It is painful to see your spouse go through this, and no matter how hard you as caregiver try, your vow feels tested many times. Dr. Brown's dedication to his faith, vows, and his beautiful wife, Vera, struck me as an example of this. It is also a beautiful example of how God provides us strength and help exactly when it is needed most. Thank you, Dr. Brown, for sharing your journey with us."

                                   - Darlene Barnes

"When Dr. Brown vowed for better or worse and in sickness and health there is no doubt he meant just that. It is also encouraging to hear someone taking God at His Word and living by it daily. As a nurse I am fully aware of the difficulty of taking care of a dementia patient. My prayers are with my friend and brother. COUNT IT ALL JOY!"

                                 - Gloria Robinson

I laughed, I cried, I was encouraged. I prayed and felt a new appreciation for the love of God. He never puts on us more than we can bear. Bro. Brown shares some insightful experiences. A must read.

Count It All Joy

Reflections of a Caregiver

When things are going well and one has no problems, it is easy to have a bright outlook. However, when affliction and trouble arise, where does one go for relief? Many turn to temporary remedies…but a true peace in the midst of suffering can only be found through the sustaining love of Christ.

Count It All Joy is the the Browns' personal story. In his new book, Dr. Paul provided reflections of his journey as a caregiver to his late wife Vera, who suffered from  dementia.  He testifies to God’s faithfulness to them during that season in their lives and exhorts others to persevere as they care for their own loved ones.

Dr. Brown embraces the covenant of marriage and committed himself to the care of his wife. “In sickness and in health” was not an optional phrase. He counts it all joy.

Building A Strong Christian Family

A Biblical Resource

There are many families in crisis today and are seeking ways to better their household situation. The primary purpose of this book is to provide some godly principles where one can consider and obtain a better understanding of the Biblical view of marriage.

Each chapter is designed to provide practical insights and beneficial information for strengthening the marriage and the home. By employing its concepts and principles, engaged couples, newlyweds, and seasoned marriages can profit from its contents.  As couples and families apply the principles of God's Word in return they will "Make God Look Good".

God has given the blueprint, so the Scriptures are the prime directive for Building a Stong Christian Family. What a couple does with the plans and materials they recived will determine just how "happily ever after" their marriage becomes.

Leaving a Legacy

As I reflect on a life well-lived, I thank God for the life and legacy of Vera L. Brown. She contributed significantly to the body of Christ and possessed a passion to see people saved. It was a joy serving our Savior together. I count it all joy to have been chosen for us to spend a lifetime together.

This book as a testimony to her life, legacy, and a well-lived Christ-centered life. It is my hope that the reader will gain insights for living from this wife, mother, and woman of God.
